ChatRPEPrivacy Policy

ChatRPE is operated by Criston Jackson, doing business as ChatRPE, who is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].

• Account Data: Your email address, display name and sign-in provider (email, Google or Apple).
• What You Log and Say: Chat messages, and the entries you log, such as workouts, sets, reps and RPE, meals, body weight, and other measurements or notes you choose to record. Profile details you give the coach, such as height, age and goals.
• Uploads: Images, voice notes and videos you attach to chats.
• Usage and Device Data: Message and upload counts used to enforce plan allowances, your time zone, notification settings, and push notification tokens if you turn notifications on.
• Subscription Status: Your plan, renewal dates and the identifiers Stripe gives us for your purchase. We never receive your card details.

• To Provide the Service (performing our contract with you): storing your logs, answering in chat, building dashboards and sending notifications you ask for.
• To Keep It Safe and Running (our legitimate interests): rate limits, abuse prevention, plan allowances and fixing errors.
• To Meet Legal Obligations: for example tax and accounting records kept by our merchant of record.

We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising, we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not use your data to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

To answer you, your messages, relevant entries and attached media are sent to a third-party AI model provider (currently Google Gemini) under terms that let it process the data only to provide the service. The coach’s answers are generated by AI and may be wrong.

We use these providers to run ChatRPE. Each processes data only as needed for its role:

• Google (Firebase, Google Cloud, Gemini): sign-in, database, file storage, server functions and AI responses.
• Stripe and Link: checkout, payment, tax and receipts, as merchant of record under their own privacy policies.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple and push notifications, if you use them.

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law of your country requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Uploads are stored under your account and are readable only by you. Do not upload images of other people without their consent, images of minors, or content you do not have the right to share.

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account in the app settings, we delete your account, logs, chats and uploaded files. Stripe keeps purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can export or delete your data yourself in the app settings, or email us and we will answer within the time the law sets, normally one month.

You may also complain to your local data protection authority, for example in the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Korea, Japan, Australia or Brazil. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

ChatRPE is not directed to children. You must be at least 16, or older if your country requires a higher age to consent to data processing. If we learn that we hold a child’s data without valid consent, we delete it.

We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to sign you in, keep checkout secure and remember settings such as your theme. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Subscriptions are sold through Link, by Stripe as our Merchant of Record. Stripe handles checkout, payment, tax, invoices and refunds. ChatRPE does not collect or store your card or billing details. To manage or cancel, use the billing portal from your account settings.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
